Imagine spending a romantic evening on Sydney Harbour aboard your very own luxury yacht, just you and your loved one. Your skipper has just safely moored your yacht at Athol Bay, just under Taronga Zoo, the sun is setting behind Sydney Harbour Bridge, & you can hear the sound of rippled waves lightly lapping against the hull whilst sipping on a glass of your favourite bubbly. A romantic dinner under the moonlit harbour waters & spectacular city lights.

Your romantic experience

Your Charter starts from Drummoyne or another location in Sydney area 6pm. We motor you along in the sunset on Sydney Harbour, past the world famous Opera House and Harbour Bridge and moor you for the evening in beautiful Athol Bay, Watson Bay or another stunning location in Sydney Harbour. Your skipper will either leave you with your meal, or if you choose the platinum package will collect your seafood platter from the Exclusive Doyles Restaurant at Watsons Bay.

You will spend the evening aboard the beautiful 38ft luxury Yacht

Your skipper will settle you in with your meals and instructions and return in the morning @ 7am.

Enjoy a candlelit dinner either on the cockpit table or in the Saloon room.

About your Yacht

A late model 38foot yacht, she has everything you need for a “romantic interlude” 2 good size comfortable cabins, flat screen TV, shower, toilet, basin, galley and more. All toiletries and linen is supplied as is tea & coffee.

Departure & arrival details

Your romantic interlude begins at Birkenhead Wharf 5.30 or 6.00 pm. Your skipper will greet you, motor you around the beautiful Sydney Harbour to your destination, organize your dinner if you have chosen & leave you to have your intimate evening together. At 7am your skipper arrives at your yacht in the morning to have you back ashore at 8.00am at Birkenhead Wharf.

Both in our late twenties, I am an ex travel consultant and my partner is a current travel agent for Centurion Amex customers. We both have, and continue to have the luxury to travel and regularly stay in 5 star hotels so read our review with merit. Being in sales we know the value of money and don’t mind paying a pretty penny to experience the best that life has to offer. This was our first time to experience on overnight stay in Sydney Harbour on a yacht and boy was it amazing! Late yesterday afternoon we boarded a vessel called Carpe Diem under the Iron cove bridge at Birkenhead point. We travelled through the harbour, under the infamous harbour bridge until we reached Athol Bay where we were ‘anchored’ for the night. The journey was picture perfect as the sun set for the day and our uninterrupted view from the yacht was priceless. I love views and nothing compares to waking up to the sounds of the animals and the rocking of the yacht- to be up on deck cuddled in a blanket with your partner looking at the sleeping city we call home. I was a little hesitant to overnight on board a yacht for the first time -accustomed to having service at my finger tips but Hank our very experienced skipper did a great job telling my partner how to do things around the yacht should we need anything- like how to boil water, what to do in case of an emergency, etc. We had no problems at all throughout the night, needless to say we never even referred to the manual that was there just in case. Hank definitely made our stay a comfortable and memorable one. Everything was clean, perfectly efficient, even the towels were Egyptian cotton! Despite Sydney’s cold front the past couple of days, the weather mellowed and we didn’t end up using the heater as it was quite warm inside! The double bed wasn’t too small, there was limited channels on Tv (let’s face it , you can go without TV for a night), to flush the toilet you needed to pump- all in all for what it was, it was a really amazing trip. I honestly feel like we just came back from a holiday. It’s a side land lovers in Sydney would not normally experience and we were lucky to have such a great time! Just remember to bring you sea sick tablets if your stomach is weak like mine. Topsides Up Sailing thank you for an amazing time. My partner and I agree that everyone should experience this overnight stay once in their life.
